Why this page exists

On some of my Instagram posts I invite people to comment a keyword to get a free resource, like a guide or a breathing protocol. When you comment that keyword, an automated system picks it up and sends the resource to you in a direct message.

To make that work, the system records a small amount of information about you. This page explains exactly what it records, what it is used for, and how to get it deleted.

What gets recorded

When you comment a keyword on one of my Instagram posts to request a free resource, the automated system records:

• Your Instagram user ID.
• Your Instagram username, meaning your handle.
• The text of the comment you left.
• Which post you commented on.
• The message that was sent back to you, including whether it was delivered, opened or clicked.

What it is used for

This information is used for two things only: to send you the resource you asked for, and to check the system is working properly, for example to confirm messages are actually reaching people and the links are working.

It is not sold. It is not shared with third parties. It is not used to build any kind of profile on you.

How to have your data deleted

Email me at hello@jamieodonnell.me with the subject line Data Deletion Request, and include the Instagram handle you used to comment so I know which records to remove.

Requests are actioned within 30 days, and I will send you a confirmation once it is done.
