Who we are

This website is run by Jamie O'Donnell, a high-performance coach based in Nelson, New Zealand. I deliver coaching online to professional athletes, business owners, and founders.

What data we collect

I keep this simple. We collect minimal data to run this site and understand who's visiting. Here's what happens:

Booking enquiries

When you submit a booking enquiry through our GoHighLevel booking widget, we collect the information you provide, which typically includes your name, email, and details about why you're reaching out. This data goes to GoHighLevel (our booking system) and to my inbox so I can respond to your enquiry.

Contact forms

If you fill in a contact form on the site, we collect whatever information you choose to share. This goes directly to my email so I can get back to you.

Website analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site. This collects anonymous data about which pages you visit, how long you spend on them, and roughly where you're located (by country or region). This data is anonymised and doesn't identify you personally.

We also use the Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. This tracks page views and helps us understand which content drives interest. Both tools only load after you accept cookies via our consent banner.

What we don't collect

We don't process any payments on this site, so we don't collect credit card data or payment information. We don't store passwords or sensitive financial data.

How we use your data

We use the data you give us only for the purposes you've provided it for:

• Booking enquiries: To respond to your message, arrange a call, and discuss whether working together makes sense.
• Contact form submissions: To reply to your question or message.
• Analytics: To understand which content is valuable, how people are finding the site, and where I can improve the experience.

I won't use your information to send you marketing emails unless you've specifically asked to hear from me. I won't sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use a couple of external services that have access to limited data:

Google Analytics 4

We use GA4 to track anonymous usage patterns. Google doesn't identify you personally from this data, but they do have their own privacy policy. You can opt out of GA4 tracking by using Google's browser extension if you'd like.

Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram)

We use the Meta Pixel to measure advertising performance on Facebook and Instagram. This tracks page views on our site so we can understand which ads are driving traffic. Meta may use this data in accordance with their own data policy. The pixel only loads after you accept cookies. You can control Meta's use of your data through your Facebook ad settings.

GoHighLevel

Our booking widget runs through GoHighLevel (leadconnectorhq.com). When you submit a booking enquiry, your information goes to their platform. They're a reputable CRM and booking service used by many coaches and small businesses. Their own privacy practices apply, and you can review them on their site.

Other integrations

We may use other services from time to time (email providers, hosting, etc.). Each of these has their own privacy policy. We only use services we trust to handle your data responsibly.

Data security

We take data security seriously. Your information is stored securely and only accessible to me. When you submit forms or book a call, the data is transmitted over an encrypted connection.

That said, no system is 100% secure. If you're concerned about sharing sensitive information online, please email me directly at hello@jamieodonnell.me and we can discuss it.

How long we keep your data

Data is retained for as long as it's needed to serve you:

• Booking enquiry information is kept while we're in discussion, and for a reasonable time after for our records.
• Contact form data is kept to respond to you and maintain a record of our conversation.
• Analytics data is retained by Google according to their standard retention policy (typically 14 months).
• If we start a coaching relationship, we'll keep relevant information as long as we're working together and for a reasonable time afterward for our records.

You can request that we delete your data at any time by emailing hello@jamieodonnell.me.

Your privacy rights

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you and how we're using it.
• Request a copy of your personal data.
• Ask us to correct any information that's inaccurate.
• Request that we delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Object to how we're using your data.

International data transfers

Some of the services we use (like Google and GoHighLevel) process data internationally. By using this site, you understand that your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries outside New Zealand. These services have their own privacy protections in place.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. We'll update the effective date at the top of this page if we make significant changes. If we make material changes, we'll do our best to let you know.
